This page covers two things: this website, and the software SYB uses to run its own live streams on YouTube.
This website
The site has no accounts, no sign-up forms and no advertising. It does not use analytics or tracking cookies of its own. Videos are shown through YouTube, and a video loads from YouTube only when you choose to play it; YouTube then handles that playback under its own privacy policy.
The software that runs the live streams
SYB runs its live streams with a small piece of software called the SYB Stream Controller. It connects to YouTube through Google's YouTube API, and only with the permission of the account that owns the SYB channel (@sybthenight).
- What it does: creates and manages the live broadcasts on SYB's own channel: their titles, descriptions, thumbnails, visibility and start and stop, and reads their status so a stream that stops can be restarted.
- What it does not do: it does not read, collect or store anything about viewers, subscribers, commenters or any other person's account. It does not access other channels.
- What it stores: the sign-in token and the stream keys for SYB's own channel, kept in private storage that only SYB controls.
- Sharing: nothing is sold, shared or transferred to anyone.
The Stream Controller's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can remove the Stream Controller's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
